Interviewed, yet again!

Hello pals,

Global Asian Times took my interview recently and published it with the caption – Researcher looks for true love in All the Best, Baby

Here is a sneak peek of the interview:

Global Asian Times: Welcome to Global Asian Times, Karan. Tell us something about yourself not many people are aware of.

Karan Singh Surana:  Thank you. That’s a tricky way to start an interview but I shall try my best … I dreamt of being an astronaut back in the high school days. As I grew up, my direction kept changing year after year, and I finally landed up doing research in an area I always fancied, i.e. Solar Cells.

Global Asian Times: What made a technology buff turn to fiction?

Karan Singh Surana: Reading novels and positive mental attitude books has been a part of my adolescence. Most of the romance genre writers portray a great deal of sex in their novels which forced me to think: ‘Why can’t they write about feelings of being in true love?’ I started writing on that subject during my Master’s degree and finally wrapped a story around it.

27th year of existence

Yesterday One more year was added to my age (although I didn’t intend to :P)

Gone are the days when I wished to stay out of home all day, travelling long distances with friends. I am 27 now damn it!

What better way to enjoy the day then in the presence of – Awesome pals, Delicious food and Funky drinks.

Due to a miscommunication (funny story though) I got to choose the ‘Secret Birthday Cake’. So instead of one flavour I voted for 5 different flavours. Doesn’t the cake look awesome !! 🙂

Most interesting part was the name of drinks (check the drinks snap), from left to right – Black Magic Vodoo, All About Love, and Kiss Me Red.

A moment from the celebration.

The female waiter came over with the drinks one by one.

Female waiter –  “Ma’am kiss me red”

My friend – “No Thank you”

😀

Food, Friends and Drinks – Best ingredients for a Happy Birthday 🙂

Gratitude Mantra

The attitude of living with gratitude on a daily basis is directly proportional to the happiness quotient of a person. Learn to master the art of saying (feeling) ‘Thank you’ for the things you already have. Most people find it difficult to search for things to be grateful about. Let me make it simple for you – you have the eyes to read this post. Isn’t it something to be grateful about? You have the technology to access my blog – gadget, internet, electricity. One can be grateful for anything and everything in their life – friends, family, clothes, gadgets, money, books, sunglasses, video game, weather… If one truly seeks to be grateful, then the list is never ending.

The attitude of gratitude goes a long way in making one’s life affluent. By being grateful for what you already possess, you secretly send a message – I am happy with what I currently have and am ready to receive more of what I desire. However good or bad be the current situation of a person, it can always converge to the path they want their life to follow by being grateful for what one already has.

Tomorrow when you wake up in morning remember to say – Thank you for the bed, peaceful night, the slippers, the toothpaste… Make a list of 10 simple things you are grateful for in your life (feel the gratitude) and before you know it you will master the art of being happy and living with gratitude.

Simply stating the secret of living a prosperous life lies in two simple things – being happy and being grateful. 🙂
