An Idea

The world is moving fast and so is the technology and ideas. I shall be going forth here with the discussion on ‘Thought Training’ but with a different angle.

Let’s start with a background story.

It was the winter of 2011; I was casually strolling down the familiar locality of my maternal uncle’s place with my cousin while discussing about the prospect of starting our own mobile recharge company. We discussed in depth the limitations of the presently available e-commerce companies and deduced 4 major USP’s.

We immediately started working on the details as to how to initiate the process. Roughly a week later our vacations ended and we headed back to our respective universities with a promise to keep up the momentum of kick starting the venture. The pressure of exams, assignments and other curricular activities diverted our focus and as early as six months down the lane one of the online recharge company (who could have been our probable competitors) launched 2 out the 4 USP’s. A year later another company included our 3rd USP and just 2 months ago I saw the current e-commerce giant launch the 4th USP.

What I am trying to say here is – If you have some breakthrough idea; don’t assume that you are the only one coming up with it. Since the ideas are thoughts and thoughts tend to wander around the universe, so anyone who is thinking on the same lines as you is bound to be struck by the same idea (frequency).

Having a breakthrough idea is not sufficient anymore. What’s required is how passionately you are willing to devote yourself to that idea?

Because if you don’t, don’t assume somebody else will also not.
